Newman College Ireland is the anticipated name for a new Liberal Arts Catholic College in Ireland which is proposed to be opened in 2014.〔(New Catholic University could open this year ) by Paul Keenan, Irish Catholic, 13 March 2014.〕 Named after Cardinal John Henry Newman, the founder of the Catholic University of Ireland which became University College Dublin, the college aims to create third level institution which embodies the Catholic ethos.
